Trinity Williams, a Girls Inc. of Chattanooga alumnae and now a student at Howard University, was chosen as a 2024 Girls Inc. National Scholar and awarded the $25,000 Suzanne Patmore Gibbs Courage Scholarship. Selected for her outstanding academic achievements, community service, and dedication to the Girls Inc. mission of inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold, Trinity is one of only three SPG National Scholars selected in 2024 from across the United States and Canada.

A graduate of Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences, Trinity has been involved with Girls Inc. of Chattanooga since first grade, attending seasonal camps and participating in programs like IMPACT and SHE, She Can, She Will. She also served on the Girls Inc. National Teen Advocacy Council (7th cohort). Her accomplishments are numerous, including completing 245.75 hours of community service through activities such as Girl Scouts (Ambassador), Student Government Association (SGA), Black Student Association (Co-founder & President), National Urban League Youth Council, Urban League of Greater Chattanooga Project Ready, and playing Varsity Volleyball.

The Suzanne Patmore Gibbs Scholarship was established in 2018 to honor a long-time Girls Inc. supporter known for her courage and advocacy for women’s voices. The scholarship is awarded to girls who embody Suzanne’s bravery, passion, and determination to dream big and stand up for what is right.
